Strategic Buyer Customer Account (M/F/D)*

In this exciting position, you will be responsible for processing and coordinating strategic purchasing matters for one of our global key accounts in close collaboration with the sales and project management teams.

The main tasks of this job will include contract and supplier management as well as developing and implementing strategies for customer-specific suppliers and material groups.

WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING

  • Sales support and supplier management: Evaluating the supplier base according to the customer's requirements and ensuring the supplier capacity and quality of supplies
  • Capacity planning and prognosis: Planning supplier capacities according to the forecast and ensuring the information flow regarding serial products and external equipment
  • Contract management: Negotiating project-specific contracts, framework contracts and partnership agreements
  • Project realisation: Participating in the realisation process as the member of the core team responsible for all purchasing matters
  • Supplier development and sustainability: Developing suppliers, ensuring long-term capacity, supporting sustainability goals
  • Process optimisation and reporting: Supporting the development of the structural and process organisation, reporting on savings and SCM goals

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Completed technical or commercial education with profound technical understanding
  • Several years of job experience in strategic purchasing
  • Proactive and self-confident demeanour paired with profound intercultural skills and a structured way of working
  • Ability to work in a team combined with entrepreneurial thinking
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel in at least 60% of working time
