Head of Product Development “Conveyor Technology“ (M/F/D)*
As Head of Product Line Development Conveyor Technology at TGW Mechanics GmbH, you will be responsible for the technical management and strategic development of the Conveyor Technology product line. You will be responsible for the entire product line over the entire life cycle as well as important development projects, working closely with international teams, stakeholders and partners. Through your strong leadership skills and technical know-how in product development, you will make a significant contribution to product optimization and the success of our conveyor technology.
WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING
- Technical and disciplinary management of an interdisciplinary team, including experts in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electronics, embedded software, automation technology (HW and SW) as well as product owners and development project managers.
- Management and further development as well as professionalization of the assigned areas such as product development, industrialization and product portfolio support.
- Technical responsibility and management for the Conveyor Technology product line
- Planning and budget responsibility in close coordination with product management and division management
- Coordination and control of development projects and product portfolio management and ensuring delivery quality in terms of deadlines, budgets and manufacturing costs
- Initiation of product improvements and continuous optimization of the product line
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Completed studies (HTL, Uni/FH) in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, automation technology, software engineering, mechatronics or similar fields
- Many years of experience (5-10 years) in the development of mechatronic industrial products and leading teams of 8-30 employees
- Sound knowledge of at least one of the following disciplines: electrical engineering, electronics, control software, embedded systems; Good understanding of related disciplines such as mechanics
- Profound and demonstrable success in the project management of product development as well as basic business knowledge and experience in product-related customer development
- Open, communicative personality with strong team and leadership skills
- Entrepreneurial thinking, planning and organizational skills as well as a hands-on mentality
