Strategic Purchasing Agent (m/f)

As Strategic Purchasing Agent you will be responsible for the long-term selection and support of our suppliers in the field of electro-mechanical components. You will support your TGW colleagues with your expert knowledge, will conduct contract negotiations independently and will be responsible for a sustainable material group strategy by using your vision and experience.



  • Responsibility for development and optimisation of material group strategies

  • Consultation and close cooperation with the product development department for new projects

  • Tendering of new contracts and revision of quotes

  • Assurance of security of supply and support during operative purchasing activities

  • Negotiation of prices and terms as well as design and conclusion of contracts with suppliers on one's own responsibility

  • Selection as well as assessment and continuous development of new and existing suppliers with respect to quality, adherence to delivery dates and costs

  • Central contact person for the material group you are responsible for



  • Completed technical education or education in economics with basic technical knowledge

  • Job experience in purchasing of electro-mechanical components

  • Self-confident appearance and excellent in closing deals

  • Distinct social skills and structured way of working

  • Good command of written and spoken English

  • Willingness to travel abroad (about 20 % of working time)

The minimum annual gross pay for this position is 40,137 Euros according to the collective agreement. A possible overpay depends on your individual job experience and qualification.
